September Student Feature - Govanni Granados
09-21-2022
Govanni Granados is a 6th year Ph.D. candidate under guidance of Dr. Isaac Harris. His research focus is on inverse problems for Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). Govanni is currently working on inverse shape problems, using engineering and medical applications such as non-destructive and non-invasive testing, respectively.
In Spring 2022, the Mathematics department awarded Govanni with the Carl C. Cowen Scholarship and TA Certificate of Merit. Dr. Jay Akridge (Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Diversity) also awarded Govanni the Instructor Appreciated as Educator award in Spring 2022.
You can read his first publication here, which was published on Sep. 6, 2022 and is co-authored by Dr. Harris. Govanni will present his new results on asymptotic analysis applied to small volume inverse shape problems at the SIAM Central States Section conference held at Oklahoma State University on October 1, 2022.
